CURATED FOR THE LIFESTYLE

The founders of Cannabis Collective came together with a singular vision; to reshape the meaning of the “cannabis lifestyle” in the new legal. Through clean creative content and a robust platform, they aimed to connect all corners of the industry at the base of one mount, Kantoka.

As Kantoka’s Creative & Marketing Director I meticulously and collaboratively crafted a foundation that included the brands creation, creative content, technical development and business strategy. I was responsible for digital design, print media, conference promotion, public speaking, business plans, investor presentations, B2B pitch-decks, budget allocations, apparel designs, retail designs and more.

As with many start-ups my role extended to technical development responsibilities including developing the initial user platform with various features and eventually hiring and managing a small development team.

The result? Kantoka emerged as a formidable player in the space and garnered quick community interest by creating a mix of luxurious and mysterious imagery with useful content and features on its platform. This led to key partnerships and approvals that allowed it to cater to a dedicated niche wanting high-end goods, cool content and a online community to bring it all together.

Kantoka’s brand image had to reflect its vision, a cool, cultured and clean modern aesthetic that spoke its audience through curated content. The “K” Logo and Wordmark have a premium feeling that expresses elegance, simplicity and luxury while abstractly hinting at the cannabis plant.

I made and curated content in collaboration with the best brands, licensed producers, retail stores and products manufacturers in the cannabis space. I oversaw the visual identity and creative execution of Kantoka’s concept, vision and creative content.

Every design element aligns with brand vision, messaging, positioning and creative strategy. I guided digital assets; designers and collaborators; and maintained consistency across all touchpoints to deliver a cohesive, impactful experience.

I built Kantoka’s platform on a fully customized Shopify structure to cater to multiple areas of the market from licensed producers, to retailers and consumers while ensuring compliance and cohesive features for the community.

I supported the brand’s growth with a fully managed digital marketing ecosystem covering strategy, execution, and ongoing optimization. This included building and managing their Meta Business Manager and Google accounts, allocating budgets across campaigns, and developing content pipelines that kept their audience engaged. From contests and community-driven posts to structured content calendars and seasonal promotions, every initiative was designed to increase visibility, strengthen the new sub-brands, and drive measurable results across all channels.
